Introduction to Category 500 visas
The 500 type of visa allows applicants to study full-time courses in Australia, and eligible family members can accompanying.

- Intensive English course for overseas students (ELICOS);
- Secondary or high school curricula;
- Certificate Course in vocational education and training;
- Higher Education courses: Bachelor's degree, associate degree, Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma, Master's degree (Teaching category), Diploma in Higher Education, higher Diploma in high Education;
- Master's degree (non-teaching, research-oriented), doctorate;
- The Australian Foreign Office, the Ministry of Trade or the Ministry of Defence sponsor students;
- Age Requirement
Students applying for a student visa for primary and secondary schools in Australia must meet the following age requirements:
- At least 6 years of age at the time of application;
- At the beginning of the 9 grade under the age of 17;
- At the beginning of the 10 grade under the age of 18;
- At the beginning of the 11 grade under the age of 19;
- He was under the age of 20 at the beginning of the 12 grade.
Note: According to the Australian Immigration Service's policy, the maximum duration of a previous student visa is5Years, but the general visa period for pupils of primary school age is relatively short, with a maximum of two years.
- Visa Validity
- Depending on the length of the course, the course is generally more than 10 months old and ends in the Australian academic year (November-December), with the validity period of the visa ending until March 15 of the following year.
- If the course exceeds 10 months and ends between October and January, the visa is usually valid until 2 months after the end of the course.
- If the course is less than 10 months, the visa is usually valid until 1 months after the end of the course.
